The Princess Máxima Centre concentrates all highly complex care and research in paediatric oncology. Its mission is to cure every child with cancer, with optimal quality of life. Close cooperation between care and research will lead to more recovery of children with cancer. With fewer adverse effects later in life. In 2016, we started research under the flag of the Princess Máxima Centre. In 2016, construction of our centre opposite the WKZ in Utrecht also began. On 18 May 2018, the new building was taken into use by the first patients.
The ambition level of the Princess Máxima Centre is high. We want to cure as many children and adolescents with cancer as possible as quickly as possible while retaining their quality of life, so that they can find their place in society as well as possible. We have translated these ambitions into the following mission: the Princess Máxima Centre for Paediatric Oncology wants to cure every child with cancer, with optimum quality of life.
Anyone walking around the Princess Máxima Centre can feel it: there is great inspiration here, a passion to do the best of the best, to perform at the very best, for children with cancer and the people around them. All employees – from specialists to nurses, and from the cook to the volunteer – want to excel and, from their hearts, be very close to the children in order to help them.
Grünbeck has been entrusted with the supply of a Demi-water plant to the Prinses Maxima Centrum. For this purpose, Grünbeck has chosen a 2-stage RO plant which delivers 2 m3/h at about 2μS/cm. By using the OSMO-X installations, the 2nd stage can be directly connected to the 1st stage. The entire control of the 2nd stage comes from the 1st stage, so only one joint control is required.
